HCBS Residential / ICF provider relief grant application is now open

As shared last week, the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services is pleased to announce the availability of a new grant funding opportunity focused on addressing increased COVID-19 related expenses experienced by group home providers and home-and community-based service waiver residential services providers. This opportunity is a result of our partnership with INARF and the Family and Social Services Administration’s commitment to pursuing additional provider relief options.

Interested providers are now able to apply for this grant opportunity. To access the application, instructional guide (which includes an FAQ section), and a recording of our recent webinar, please visit the DDRS COVID-19 Resource page.

The grant application will be open through on November 30, 2020.

As a reminder, this funding opportunity is intended to reimburse eligible providers for certain COVID-related expenses incurred during the period from March 1, 2020, through December 30, 2020.   The total amount of the grant will be capped at 4.2% of Medicaid claims processed for the period from March 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019, for the following services:

  1. Residential Habilitation and Support Hourly
  2. Residential Habilitation and Support Daily
  3. Respite
  4. Participant Assistance and Care
  5. Structured Family Caregiving
  6. Transportation
  7. Wellness Coordination
  8. Workplace Assistance
  9. Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

PLEASE NOTE – The application will now ask for expense information from March 1, 2020 – October 31, 2020. We have made this adjustment so that expenses related to the recent surge in COVID-19 are appropriately captured.
