This Saturday, May 11, is the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Last year, people in over 10,000 cities and towns nationwide donated over 74 million pounds of food. This year, let’s do even more!

To donate, simply leave a sturdy bag of non-perishable foods (canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats and fish, pasta, rice, cereal, etc) next to your mailbox by 8:00 am on Saturday, May 11. Your letter carrier will make sure it gets to people in need in your community.

Your donation helps local food banks and food pantries continue their services through the summer, when donations typically drop. School meal programs also typically do not operate during the summer, so donations are also help needy kids in your community.

Help us track the disability community’s participation! If you plan to donate food to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, please click this link: http://fifthfreedom.org/i-will-give/. (No personal information will be collected, just the number of clicks.)
