BDDS COVID-19 updates and activities

       BDDS COVID-19 updates and activities

The Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services is committed to working collaboratively with case managers and providers during this extraordinary time. We appreciate the hands-on and coordinated efforts and responses our case managers and providers have demonstrated. As part of this commitment, BDDS has the following updates of interest:

  • BDDS has posted a Frequently Asked Question document related to COVID-19 and Appendix K.
  • Recordings from last week’s family webinar and provider and case manager webinar
  • As a reminder, in partnership with the Division of Aging, the Arc of Indiana, and Family Voices of Indiana, BDDS is hosting a family webinar on managing life during the pandemic – Part 2 on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, from 1 – 2 p.m. EDT. The webinar will focus on topics including, planning for the future, managing challenging behaviors in adults and children and reducing caregiver burnout.

    • After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
  • BDDS will be hosting a provider and case manager webinar on Thursday, April 9, 2020, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT. The webinar will include an overview of updates and clarifications on temporary policy changes related to COVID-19 and Appendix K.
    • The webinar will be held via GoToWebinar and can be accessed using the following link to register. For those individuals unable to access the webinar, it will be recorded and posted to the BDDS COVID-19 web page.
    • To participate in the webinar on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at 2 pm EDT, please register by clicking here.
