Hoosier Action Coalition Statehouse Vigil
ACTION ALERT (3/20/2021):
JOIN INSILC VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON AT THE HOOSIER ACTION COALITION STATEHOUSE VIGIL ON 3/23 FROM 11 AM – 1 PM EST / 10 AM – 12 PM CENTRAL.
INSILC will be attending the Hoosier Action Coalition Vigil to mourn and bring attention to the number of COVID-19 deaths that occurred in nursing facilities. Many of these individuals were people with disabilities. All of these individuals experienced conditions of aging.

SCHEDULE:
- 11:00 am Tour the toll that 2020 has taken on Hoosiers. Visit stations around the
statehouse to learn about what Hoosiers have experienced in the past year.
- 11:30 am Moment of Silence. Faith Leaders from across the state will lead us in a moment
of silence to mourn what we’ve lost in the past year.
- 12:00 pm Press Conference. Hoosier Action Leaders and others will share their stories,
and call on the Indiana General Assembly to honor our losses and legislate on our behalf.
If you are a person with a disability who would like to attend but can’t due to COVID-19 and/or lack of access to the COVID-19 vaccine, we would be happy to set up a lawn chair to represent your presence. We can include your name and personal message if you are interested.
If you have lost a loved one(s) from COVID-19 and would like to remember their life at the vigil, feel free to send us their information. We can share their name/ picture/ message. We can also set up a lawn chair in their memory.
