Help celebrate Disability Awareness Month this March and order your FREE campaign materials today!

Join thousands of business leaders, educators, community organizations, and families across Indiana when you spread the message of inclusion and acceptance. Will you join us in hosting your own Disability Awareness Month activity? The Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities offers a free planning kit with theme-specific and other resource materials to help you plan your activities. You can place your order online at IndianaDisabilityAwareness.org. All orders are due by Feb. 22, 2019.

About this year’s theme

No matter the differences between people, it’s always better to treat others the way you want to be treated. This is especially true when interacting with friends, co-workers, and other Hoosiers who live with disabilities. The 2019 Indiana Disability Awareness Month campaign theme revisits last year’s “Be Cool. We Are.” It’s all about the importance of being comfortable in your own skin, and making the conscious decision to be yourself. Because acting differently around someone with a disability isn’t cool.

Awareness Month Standard Kit

The Governor’s Council provides standardized kits to Indiana residents who are interested in conducting awareness campaigns.

Following is a summary of what you will automatically receive with your order:

• 2 posters

• 50 stickers

• 1 rack card
