Upcoming provider grant opportunities and informational webinar
Over the course of 2020, the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services was able to provide grant opportunities to support the provider network as it responded to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the BDDS Day Service Sustainability Grants and the HCBS Residential / ICF Provider Relief Grants, the Bureau has approved $40.7 million dollars in grant payments that were issued to over 115 providers.
Today, we are pleased to share that BDDS will continue to offer grant opportunities to its provider network in 2021. Two grant programs will be available:
- HCBS/ICF Provider Relief Grants: a grant opportunity available to support HCBS waiver and group home providers in addressing increased COVID-19 related expenses related to the delivery of the following services:
- Adult Day Service (All Levels and Units)
- Day Habilitation (Individual and All Group Sizes)
- Pre-Vocational Services (All Group Sizes)
- Residential Habilitation and Support Hourly
- Residential Habilitation and Support Daily
- Respite
- Participant Assistance and Care
- Structured Family Caregiving
- Transportation
- Wellness Coordination
- Workplace Assistance
- Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
- OBRA Day Service Sustainability Grants: a grant opportunity available to support to support OBRA providers who provide habilitation and pre-vocational habilitation under the OBRA program and had to close or suspend services as a result of COVID-19.
These grants will be made available on a quarterly basis, so long as funding is available. The applications for the first quarter grants will be open on April 2,2021.
